Why does Utua Network recommend the World Elite Mastercard for your consideration?

The World Elite Mastercard, issued by Riyad Bank, is a premium credit card designed for high-profile clients, focused on travel, financial protection, and everyday convenience — in other words, a sophisticated option for discerning individuals.

The main differentiator of the World Elite Mastercard, therefore, lies in its combination of benefits geared toward frequent travelers: unlimited access to VIP lounges, robust travel insurance, and partnerships with car rental companies and international hotel chains form a consistent package that is rarely found in entry-level cards.

For high-income clients who already hold a Private Banking relationship with Riyad Bank, the annual fee waiver makes the cost-benefit ratio even more favorable. In addition, features such as interest-free installments at partner stores (Qasset 0%) and purchase protection for up to 180 days against theft or damage add security to everyday card use, beyond international travel.

This set of protections, combined with SAMA’s regulatory oversight of Riyad Bank, contributes to a perception of institutional soundness around the product, and that’s why we recommend it to those whose lifestyle already matches this profile.

List of the main benefits for you!

The World Elite Mastercard brings together a wide range of advantages, with emphasis on the pillars of travel, rewards, and protection, which we’ll look at below. Transparency and conditions for Private Banking clients

Like any premium credit card, the World Elite Mastercard has a fee structure that needs to be carefully evaluated before applying. The standard annual fee is SAR 1,500, but Riyad Bank offers an annual fee waiver for clients classified as Private Banking who maintain their enrollment in the program.

In other words, the waiver isn’t automatic for every applicant — it’s a benefit tied to your relationship profile with the bank. Additional and supplementary cards, on the other hand, carry no annual fee, which is quite appealing for those looking to consolidate family spending with the World Elite Mastercard.

Among the costs that weigh most heavily is the revolving interest rate, with an APR (Annual Percentage Rate) of 34.46% per year, equivalent to 2.2% per month on the unpaid balance — a significant amount that reinforces the importance of paying the statement in full whenever possible.

There’s also a late payment penalty (late payment penalty) of SAR 50, a cash advance fee (cash advance fee) of 3% on the amount withdrawn, and an additional foreign transaction fee (foreign transaction fee) of 1.90%, charged on purchases made outside Saudi Arabia — a point worth paying special attention to if you plan to use the World Elite Mastercard card as a travel companion abroad.

The Utua team’s opinion for you!

In our assessment, the World Elite Mastercard is a well-positioned product for the audience it’s truly designed to serve: Private Banking clients with high spending volumes and a strong appetite for international travel. Outside of that profile, however, the SAR 1,500 annual fee and the requirement to qualify as a Private Banking or Family Private client make the card less accessible, reinforcing that this isn’t an entry-level product, but rather a niche card.

Also worth noting is the 34.46% annual APR, a high rate compared to other credit lines, which demands payment discipline from those who take out the card. We recognize this is a common trait among premium cards with robust rewards programs, but that shouldn’t overshadow the fact that the cost of revolving credit can quickly cancel out any benefit earned, if the statement isn’t paid in full.
